The Refugee Union Hong Kong was founded in 2014 with visions to safeguard forced migrants’ fundamental rights, in specific, to improve members’ living conditions and optimise their prospects. Since our establishment, we have been working closely with our committed volunteers, organising various programmes and activities to actualise our members’ social and psychological well-being.

DONATIONS

On 18 October, we are grateful to receive donations of baby products from Donor Ms. Down, including cleaners, toys and other necessities. Thank you very much!

EVENTS

On 9 October, we are privileged to have medical students from local universities reaching out to us and seeking cooperation opportunities. Thank you for concerning forced migrants’ mental health issues!

Medical Students Society Visit

On 12 October, we co-organised the “Know Your Rights” workshop about civil law in Hong Kong with the Hong Kong Centre for Pro Bono Service Limited (CPBS), Table of Two Cities, The Wandering Voice, and Dream Impact (in no particular order). Thank you everyone for joining us and flourishing mutual learning!

Know Your Right

On 19 October, we partnered with students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and organised a natural handmade workshop for our members. We invited teachers from the Fruit Peels Family to teach us ways to make dish washing detergent and soap by using natural ingredients. This activity is part of the I·CARE Social Service Projects Scheme 2018/19 and funded by the I·CARE Centre for Whole-person Development, CUHK. Here we would like to express our gratitude to the Donors for their generous support. And we appreciate students’ passion to serve.
